The Exploration & Excavation Branch of the Culture Department, Government of Sindh, proudly hosted a visit by two renowned professionals, Mr. Naseer Memon and Mr. Ehsan Leghari. The event was organized under the guidance of Mr. Roshan Ali Kanasro (Resident Director, PDM&I Cell & Director, Exploration & Excavation Branch) and supported by the dedicated team of professionals, including Mr. Zaheer Ahmed Shaikh (Deputy Director), Ms. Sana Gul Channa (Archaeology Assistant), and Mr. Mehr (Archaeology & Preservation Consultant).

The highlight of the visit was the state-of-the-art Scientific Laboratory for Preservation of Sindh Antiquities, which serves as a hub for the conservation of historical maps, archaeological documents, and ancient artifacts. The distinguished guests were given a detailed briefing on the laboratory’s cutting-edge machinery and innovative preservation methods, which uphold international standards in artifact conservation.

Both guests were highly impressed by the scientific rigor, organization, and commitment demonstrated by the laboratory team. Mr. Naseer Memon praised the lab’s modern facilities and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in safeguarding Sindh’s rich heritage. Similarly, Mr. Ehsan Leghari admired the well-maintained infrastructure and appreciated the meticulous efforts undertaken to preserve ancient treasures.

This visit not only highlighted the branch’s dedication to cultural preservation but also inspired the guests to recommend similar facilities for other regions of Pakistan.
