Exploration and Excavation Department of Sindh is spearheading a groundbreaking initiative to digitize archaeological records and topographies across the region. This pioneering endeavor aims to revolutionize how archaeological data is collected, preserved, and analyzed, marking a significant leap forward in the field of cultural heritage preservation.

Mr. Roshan Ali Kanasro Director Exploration & Excavation Branch formulated a team comprised of IT experts and historians and initiated the digitization project to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of archaeological exploration and excavation efforts.

Mr. Zaheer Shaikh, Deputy Director, remarked that this initiative represents a paradigm shift in how we approach archaeology in Sindh. By leveraging digital tools and techniques, we can create comprehensive records of our archaeological heritage, ensuring its preservation for future generations.

During the commencement meeting, Mr. Amar Fayaz Buriro, a computational expert & Director Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institue of Language Engineering, Majid Thahim writer and consultant of the department, Mr. Qazi Asif, media coordinator, Mr. Altaf Hussain Talpur Digitizer and historian, Mr. Irfan Kalhoro, Mr. Aamir Memon exchanged their valuable ideas regarding the project.
