The Exploration and Excavation Branch, operating under the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Department of the Government of Sindh, is dedicated to preserving ancient culture for posterity. Through surveys, explorations, and excavations, we aim to assess the cultural potentialities of Sindh and document the antiquities discovered during these endeavors.

Job
Responsibilities of the Branch
- Graphic, photographic, and descriptive documentation of sites and antiquities
- Restoration of important antiquities, with a focus on pottery vessels and objects
- Collaboration with foreign archaeological missions and providing consultancy to private companies in the field
- Safe custody and preservation of antiquities
- Compilation and publication of scientific reports from exploration and excavation
- Contribution of recovered antiquities to museums
- Training university students during excavation activities
